NON-PROFIT AFFILIATE PARTNER - BLACKLAND

The Blackland Community Development Corporation (BCDC) was incorporated in August 1983 as a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 corporation in the State of Texas. The boundaries of the Blackland Neighborhood are Comal Street on the west, Chestnut Avenue on the east, MLK Boulevard on the south, and Manor Road on the north.

The mission of Blackland CDC is to foster a safe, sustainable, inclusive community that strives for social equality by preserving and enhancing the stock of affordable housing and providing supportive programs. Through this project we hope to not only amplify their mission and bring more awareness through this creative endeavor. 

This project supports Austin artists and creatives and aims to educate about the Blackland community who have been at the forefront of social equality, artistic expression, and affordable housing in East Austin since 1983.
